2023 AFCON Qualifiers Group E : Central African Republic defeat Madagascar to go second behind Ghana

Central African Republic Defeat Madagascar : Central African Republic (CAR) defeated Madagascar by 2-0 on Monday afternoon in their Match-Day Four fixture of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification tournament as France-based striker Louis Mafouta netted a brace.

The Quevilly Rouen attacker scored in the 40th and 82nd minutes as CAR completed the double over The Barea.

The goals were the third and fourth in the AFCON qualifiers for Mafouta who plies his trade in the Ligue 2 of France.

Meanwhile the Black Stars play their fourth match of the qualification series against Angola on Monday evening. The kick off the game in Luanda is 16 : 00 GMT.
