Kalilu Dramani Advises Ghanaian Players : Former Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak defender Mohammed Dramani Kalilu has taken a stand to offer valuable advice to fellow footballers, urging them to steer clear of using drugs during matches.
Kalilu, who achieved a bronze medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Spain, emphasises that players who resort to drugs are jeopardizing their ability to play effectively over an extended period of time.
In a recent interview conducted on Happy FM, Kalilu shared his thoughts on the matter, stating,
“If you are an upcoming player and anyone tells you weed and body enhancement drugs will help your football career, it’s a lie. It doesn’t add anything to your football skills.”
The seasoned defender’s perspective is rooted in his own extensive experience in the sport.
Notably, Kalilu Dramani rose to prominence during his time with Ghana’s Black Starlets Squad in the early 1990s.
He etched his name into football history as part of the Starlets team that represented Ghana in the 1989 FIFA U-16 World Championship held in Scotland.
