Palestine Cup Final Match Attacked by Israeli Forces : According to local media, Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters that forced players and fans to be attended to during a Cup final match on Thursday.
Several dozen Palestinian supporters had to receive medical attention in Alram, east of Jerusalem, during the Palestinian League Cup final between Balata FC and Jablmokbr.
According to local media reports, Israeli forces fired tear gas at the Faisal Husseini stadium in Al-Ram while the final was being played.
Balata captain Saed Abu Saleem said the gas leaked into the dressing room and some players had to be treated for respiratory problems. Panic scenes were also experienced in the stands.
The second half of the match was delayed until the gas had dissipated and play could continue. Still after the break, Jablmokbr goalkeeper Rami Hamadi had to be treated for tear gas inhalation. Finally, the clash was able to continue and conclude.
