Abdulai Gazale Reacts to 3-0 Berekum Chelsea League Defeat : Berekum Chelsea imposed an emphatic 3-0 defeat against Asante Kotoko on Friday during Week 26 of the Ghana Premier League at the Golden City Park in Berekum as Kalou Ouattara netted a superb brace for the hosts before defender Ansu Kofi Patrick made it 3-0 five minutes from full time.
The defeat was the first for Abdulai Gazale as interim boss of Kotoko whilst it represents the 7th league loss of the season for the Reds.
Chelsea were without club and league top scorer Mezack Afriyie but the 2011 champions of Ghana still managed to put three past the Porcupine Warriors.
Ouattara scored to put Berekum Chelsea ahead in the 50th minute with a strong header before realizing his brace in the 63rd with another clever header. Ansu Kofi Patrick then made it 3-0 for the host team five minutes from time.

On his initial reaction to the 3-0 defeat :
It is a disappointing results from our side. We were here to pick three points but unfortunately it rather go against us. We didn’t do well. The entire team because the way we wanted to play we couldn’t get a chance to play that way because of the nature of the pitch.
On conceding cheap goals and how to correct mistakes :
And I think our players we have to go back to the drawing board and work hard in order to correct these particular mistakes. We have been considering goals through our defensive line and I think there is the need for us to correct it. We have done a lot about that but unfortunately it keeps on repeating. So we need to go back to the drawing board and then work on that particular incidents.
On Kotoko’s title chances in the league race :
Well we still have 8 matches to go. We still have a lot if we are able to correct our mistakes and then get things right in order to get back to the winning ways definitely we might do something. We just had a week , others are yet to play. In case the results don’t go on their way especially those who are the top , definitely we are in the race.
On the performance of Ibrahim Danlad who conceded three goals :
Well I will give him 50 out of 50 because there were some situations he was able to save us. Unfortunately we cannot use just one mistake to judge him. He has done well , like I said the goalkeepers trainers are also watching definitely they will work on him and then we get everybody on board.
