Aduana Supporters Chief Wants The GPL Halted : Aduana Supporters Union chairman , Kwadwo Adjei , wants the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to postpone the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League until they conclude their investigations into the unfortunate incidents that occurred after the Aduana FC – Tamale City Week 25 clash on Sunday April 2nd in Dormaa.
City’s team bus was allegedly attacked on their way back home by unidentified persons following their 1-0 defeat against Samuel Kwesi Fabin’s side and the GFA immediately decided to impose a temporal home ban against Aduana from playing at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Stadium.
But according to the leader of the Aduana supporters group , the GFA has not been just.
“Now the GFA has not done any investigation. What if after conducting investigation and Aduana is not guilty of what happened , can you give the club the points we may have lost due to the home ban decision?” , Kwadwo Adjei quizzed on Monday.
The Supporters chief of the Ogya Side continued :
“So if the GFA think they will investigate the matter then the best option is to halt the league till they finish their investigations and then take a final decision.
But they cannot tell us something happened outside the Aduana stadium and so they are banning us from playing at home here.
We beg the GFA to stop what they are doing because we are not going to accept that from them.
We beg the GFA to reverse the decision because we know that some people are behind what is happening against us.
We plead with the GFA to postpone the league and take time to conclude their findings. How can you punish us without doing any investigations for an incident that occurred outside the stadium?” , he concluded.
