Algeria Name Squad for Uganda Qualifier : Algeria head coach Djamel Belmadi has invited 26-players for next month’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification match against Uganda and the list include four-home based footballers.
The Fennecs have already qualified for the finals of the AFCON to be played in Ivory Coast in 2024 but Belmadi still has selected a squad with plenty of quality such as 2023 Premier League winner Riyad Mahrez.
Meanwhile 25-year old striker Aymen Mahious of USM Alger, who has scored 19 goals in all competitions this season for club and country, gets his first ever call up to the Algeria national team.
Also Houssem Aouar has been included in Algeria’s National Team squad after the completion of switch of international allegiance process.
The Lyon midfield maestro is therefore in line for his first cap when the Desert Warriors take on Uganda in AFCON qualifiers on 18th June.
