“We know Ghana very well. They have excellent technical players” – Algeria U23 head coach Noureddine Ould Ali ahead of Friday qualifier

Algeria U23 Coach Speaks About the Ghana Qualifier : Head coach of Algeria U23 national men’s team Noureddine Ould Ali has spoken about Friday’s CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations qualification match against Ghana.

The first leg of the final round of the qualifiers take place at the 19 May 1956 Stadium, Annaba.

Noureddine Ould Ali spoke at a press conference ahead of the huge clash.

On the tie against Ghana:

“The match promises to be very competitive. The qualification will be decided at the end of the two legs, even if it is important to win this first leg to have a psychological ascendancy”

On his players selected :

“We have selected 26 players who I consider the fittest at the moment.”

On how best he knows the Black Meteors :

“We know our opponent well, who has traditions in the youth level. They have seven players who took part in the last CHAN in Algeria. They are a very good team with excellent technical players. We have analyzed their strengths and weaknesses.”

On the preparations of his team so far :

“We have assets to put forward. We are preparing ourselves in the best conditions. The only thing that worries me are the injuries, and I hope that we will be spared”, while calling the eastern public and that of Annaba in particular to “make the trip en masse to support the players. Their support will be decisive.”

The second leg will be played on Tuesday March 28 in Kumasi at the Babayara sports stadium.

The U23 AFCON will be played from November 2 to 26, 2023 in Morocco.

The first three of the tournament will represent Africa at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris (July 26 – August 11).
