2023 CAF U23 AFON Qualifiers : Everything you need to know about the Algeria – Ghana showdown tonight

All You Need to Know About Algeria v Ghana on Friday : Algeria U23 national team take on the Black Meteors of Ghana in the first leg of their 2023 CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations qualification tie on Friday night. 

The winner of the tie qualifies to the finals of the 2023 CAF U23 AFCON to be played in Morocco later this year.

GhanaSportsMarket.com answers the questions you may have about the big clash between the North Africans and the West African side.

What time will the match kick off?

The qualifier kicks off 22 : 00 (Algeria time) that is 21 : 00 GMT (here in Ghana).

Where will the match be played ?

The 19 May , 1956 stadium in Annaba is the venue of the match.  Annaba, formerly known as Bon, Bona and Bône, is a seaport city in the northeastern corner of Algeria.

Who are the match officials for the game ?

They are all Liberians.

Referee Hassen Zinnah Corneh is the center referee for tonight’s encounter. He will be assisted by his compatriots Joel Wonka Doe (1st assistant) and Ephraim Whehgar Grant Whengar (2nd assistant).

The 4th referee is Moses Forkpah.

Who are the coaches?

Noureddine Ould Ali is the head coach of the Olympic team of Algeria whilst Ibrahim Tanko is the man for Ghana Black Meteors.

When will the second leg take place?

The reverse match takes place at the Babayara sport stadium on March 28th.
