Anas Lawyers : Lawyers of investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas have responded to media reports that the ace undercover journalist has been ordered by the Supreme Court to appear in court without his face mask.
Anas wears the face mask in order not reveal his real identity but on Tuesday news broke in the Ghanaian media that the privileges enjoyed by the investigative journalist in court have been taken from him by a Supreme Court order.
Anas is set to give his testimony in the the corruption and fraud trial of Kwesi Nyantakyi , the former Ghana Football Association President.
“The Supreme Court of Ghana has delivered a damaging blow to Anas Aremeyaw Anas after ordering the journalist to appear in open court without his usual face mask to face Kwesi Nyantakyi.
The highest ruling body in Ghana ruled on Tuesday morning that the reluctant journalist must appear in court without any face mask covering to testify in the case with the former Ghana FA President.” reported by ghanasoccernet.com on Tuesday.
In responding to media reports , Cromwell Gray LLP urged to public to disregard such reports tagging them as “false reportage”.
