Angola 1 Ghana 1 Match Report on March 27th : Osman Bukari came off the bench to score a crucial equalizer for the Black Stars of Ghana who leave Luanda with a point taken from their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification match against Angola.
The Match-Day Four encounter finished 1-1.
Lucas Joao netted the opener for the home team from the spot in the 51st minute after Daniel Amartey fouled an opponent in the Ghana area.
Ghana head coach Chris Hughton , in search of a goal , made changes to his starting team.
Inaki Williams and Joseph Paintsil replaced Antoine Semenyo and Salis Abdul Samed respectively in the 60th minute.
Osman Bukari and Majeed Ashimeru also came in for Mohammed Kudus and Edmund Addo respectively in the 71st minute.
Bukari , who netted a goal against Portugal at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar as a substitute , made an instant impact with his 72nd minute equalizer for the Ghana national team.
Credit to Joseph Paintsil for the Ghana goal as he broke free on the right to cut-back the ball for Bukari to slot home.
Ghana now lead the Group E table with 8 points in 4 matches played. Central African Republic (CAR) are second with 7 points after 4 games.
Angola remain third on the group table with 5 points in 4 matches played whilst Madagascar , defeated 2-0 by CAR on Monday , are bottom of the group with a single point.
