Arsenal are willing to sell Thomas Partey : Arsenal are ready to listen to offers for Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey, with the Ghanaian likely to be surplus to requirements as Mikel Arteta re-shapes his midfield and this is according to the Daily Mail.
Arsenal are continuing talks for West Ham’s Declan Rice, and are keen on Southampton’s Romeo Lavia, while they plan to make an improved offer for Chelsea forward Kai Havertz.
With Arteta rebuilding as the Gunners contend with Champions League football – as well as bidding to go one better at the top of the Premier League table – it is likely that the club will consider letting players leave.
Before joining the Gunners, he was at Atletico Madrid, rising through their youth team ranks before reaching the B team and then the senior side.
The Ghanaian midfielder joined Arsenal in 2020, and has played 99 games for the club, netting five goals.
However, with Arsenal stacking up potential new midfield options for the upcoming season, he might be viewed as surplus to requirements, and good offers from other clubs may help to soften the financial blow which will likely come from buying other players.
Arteta’s side are yet to submit a second bid for Rice, but could have to pay up to £100m to win the race, with several Premier League sides battling for his signature.
Southampton’s Lavia is another possible option in the centre of the park, but Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea are also scouting the Belgian player.
Meanwhile, Havertz has reportedly agreed personal terms with Arsenal, and would move across London from Chelsea to the Emirates if a bid is accepted by the Blues.
Partey started for Ghana in their 0-0 draw against Madagascar during the fifth match-day of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
