TRANSFERS : Thomas Partey’s Arsenal reject 40 million Euros from Monaco for Balogun !

Arsenal Reject 40 million Euros for Balogun : AS Monaco is still negotiating with Arsenal for Folarin Balogun but the demands of the Gunners are curbing the enthusiasm of the Ligue 1 club.

At the same time, the Monegasque management has tried in vain to recruit Karl Toko-Ekambi.

Propelled by a double from Wissam Ben Yedder, Monaco won a precious success in Clermont on Sunday during the first day of Ligue 1 (4-2).

Despite Breel Embolo’s long absence with a knee injury, Adi Hutter’s proteges shone in the attacking sector.

But the management of the Rock club is looking to recruit an attacker during the transfer window.

Tracked for some time, the track leading to Folarin Balogun remains active but skates a little. Blame it on Arsenal’s demands for the American striker.

ASM has made a first verbal offer of around 40 million euros for the one who remains on a good season on loan at Reims. But the Gunners have turned it down.

Slowed down, the Balogun option continues to give rise to negotiations between the London management and that of the club of the principality.

If Monaco has not abandoned the idea of recruiting the former Reims player (22 goals in 39 appearances in 2022-2023), ASM are on the other hand studying the market.

In recent hours, the Monegasque team has tried to attract Karl Toko-Ekambi. In vain.

Departing from Lyon , where his falling out with the supporters precipitated his departure, the Cameroonian striker did not respond to interest from Monaco.

Rather than bouncing back under Adi Hutter, Karl Toko-Ekambi preferred the Saudi championship. The African striker has already agreed to the Abha club for a two-year contract.

The transfer of the 30-year-old player will bring a check for two million euros (including bonus) to Lyon.
