Asamoah Gyan Must be Studied in Schools : Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the Majority Chief Whip in Parliament, firmly believes that Asamoah Gyan, the legendary Ghanaian striker, possesses remarkable qualities worthy of study.
On Tuesday, the 37-year-old announced his retirement from professional football, marking the end of his two-decade-long career in the sport.
Despite not representing the Black Stars in the last four years, Gyan’s impressive record still stands as he holds the title of all-time top scorer for Ghana, with 51 goals. Only Andre Ayew, the current captain, surpasses his 109 appearances for the national team.
Numerous tributes from federations, former clubs, teammates, fellow footballers, and fans have poured in to honour Gyan’s extraordinary achievements.
The parliament of Ghana added their voice to the chorus of praise for the former Sunderland striker with Annoh-Dompreh, the Nsawam Adoagyiri constituency Member of Parliament describing him as a complete package to be studied in schools.
