Asante Kotoko vs King Faisal : Gazale and Godwin Ablordey could face off on April 5th in Kumasi derby

Abdulai Gazale and Godwin Ablordey : Asante Kotoko and King Faisal could enter into the Kumasi derby of 5th April 2023 with new faces in the technical dugout after Seydou Zerbo and Jimmy Corbblah were given the sack on Monday March 27th , 2023.

On Monday morning , Kotoko announced the departure of the Burkinabe coach following the team’s 2-0 defeat against Medeama SC on Sunday at the Babayara stadium whilst King Faisal informed the public that head coach Corbblah is no more at post some hours later.

Abdulai Gazale has been named interim head coach of the defending champions of Ghana whereas Faisal have appointed former Asante Kotoko captain Godwin Ablordey as caretaker boss.

The Kumasi derby , a Week 21 betPawa Ghana Premier League rescheduled to April 5th , is less than ten days away from now and we could see Gazale and Ablordey as the opposing coaches in charge of the big game should the clubs fail to find substantive managers in time.

Kotoko and King Faisal are 7th and 16th on the Ghana Premier League standings respectively after Week 23.
