Black Meteors Arrive in Algeria for Friday’s Clash : The Black Meteors of Ghana safely arrived in Algeria ahead of their crucial 2023 CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations qualification match against the North African team.
Coach Ibrahim Tanko has taken a 26-man squad for the first leg match which will be played at 19 May 1956 Stadium in Annaba on Friday March 24th.
The team trained on Wednesday morning in Accra ahead of the trip to Annaba, Algeria.
Ghana is hoping to advance to the U23 Championship and fight for a place to play in the next Olympic Games which will be staged in Paris.
A win in the double-legged tie will confirm Ghana’s place in the tournament which will be staged from 24 June and 8 July 2023.
Meanwhile Felix Afena Gyan of U.S Cremonese has reportedly refused to honor the call-up meaning Tanko will have 25 players for the Algeria game.
