Black Stars Ratings against Angola in Luanda : The Black Stars of Ghana picked a point from their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification (AFCON) match against Angola at the Estadio 11 de Novembro on Monday as Osman Bukari came off the bench to connect home an important equalizer for Ghana.
The Palancas Negras took the lead from the spot in the 51st minute through Lucas Joao who scored his first ever goal for the Angola national soccer team.
Red Star Belgrade winger Bukari who replaced Mohammed Kudus in the 71st minute scored one of the fastest goals by any substitute in the AFCON qualifiers with his 72nd minute equalizer.
Ghana held on to draw 1-1 and the Black Stars now lead the qualification Group E with 8 points collected from four matches played.

GK Lawrence Ati – Zigi 8/10 : Keeps on increasing in confidence as Ghana starting goalkeeper. The only goal he conceded against Angola in the two matches was through a penalty.
RB Kingsley Schindler 7/10 : Impressive debut for the FC Koln full-back. Passed the ball well and did not shiver on his Ghana debut. Troubled at times by Angola’s dangerous left winger Gilberto but was a good show overall from the Bundesliga-based defender.
CB Daniel Amartey 7/10 : Should have surely done better as he committed a penalty. Aside that , he produced made several headed clearances and blocks as Angola pressured Ghana.
CB Joseph Aidoo 8/10 : What a match for the Celta man. Calm on the ball , progressed the ball from the back well and most importantly made many blocks and clearances at the back.
LB Gideon Mensah 6/10 : In the two matches against Angola Gideon suffered at left back. He was not good enough.
CM Edmund Addo 7/10 : Much improved performance than the one he produced in Kumasi on Thursday.
CM Salis Abdul Samed 7/10 : Fine performance from the Lens midfielder. Did his job nicely.
RF Jordan Ayew 7/10 : He lacks goals for the national team at the moment but his work rate was key , always falling back to help Schindler handle the skillful Gilberto.
AM Mohammed Kudus 6/10 : Not a big game for the playmaker.
LF Kamaldeen Sulemana 6/10 : Tried to make things happen with his dribbling skills on the left. Showed promise but had to be replaced in the 61st minute by Joseph Paintsil.
CF Antoine Semenyo 5/10 : Failed to have any shots on target before going out in the 60th minute.
Substitutes :
Inaki Williams – Brought new energy to the Ghana team.
Joseph Paintsil – Assisted the Osman Bukari equalizer with a terrific play on the right.
Osman Bukari – Came off the bench and needed just a minute to make a difference.
Majeed Ashimeru – What a cameo appearance for the former WAFA midfield gem.
