Chelsea Tell Lukaku To Stay Away from Their Pre-Season : According to reports in England, Chelsea have told Romelu Lukaku not to arrive for pre-season training, as they expect Inter to work out a transfer deal next week.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino had said in a press conference that he expected Lukaku to land in London on Wednesday so that he could join in with the rest of the squad in preparing the new campaign at Cobham training ground.
However, now The Telegraph claim that Chelsea acknowledge Lukaku has no intention of playing for them again and therefore believe his presence would be more damaging than helpful.
They have therefore given him a few more days off, hoping they can reach an agreement with Inter for a permanent sale.
The asking price is believed to be €45m and Inter acknowledged Chelsea will not consider another loan spell.
Their proposal so far has reached €25m and is expected to reach €30m plus bonuses, but no more than that.
If the deal is not done by Monday, it remains to be seen if Lukaku will continue his vacation or be recalled to Cobham.
The only other interested parties are Juventus and a club from Saudi Arabia, but the Belgian has his heart set only on Inter.
