Hughton Subs Local Players Again : Chris Hughton continues to snub home-based players in his early days as new Black Stars head coach after inviting Kingley Schindler from Germany to replace the injured Tariq Lamptey.
The former Republic of Ireland international did not select any Ghana Premier League players in his initial 25-man squad to contest the two 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification matches against Angola.
It was thought that since most of the invited players have already arrived in the country , Hughton would consider a home-based replacement for the injured Brighton and Holve Albion player but it appears the attention of the new Ghana boss is far away from the national championship.
Meanwhile Seventeen (17) Ghana players are currently in camp in Accra ahead of the trip to Kumasi on Tuesday afternoon.
They include Abdul Manaf Nurudeen, Joseph Wollacott, Alexander Djiku, Denis Odoi, Kingsley Schindler, Patrick Kpozo, Daniel Amartey, Joseph Aidoo, Andre Ayew.
Other are Joseph Painstil, Ransford Yeboah, Inaki Williams, Antoine Semenyo, Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Salisu, Majeed Ashimeru and Edmund Addo.
