Chris Hughton Wants to See a Big Crowd vs Angola : Chris Hughton takes charge of his fist match since becoming Black Stars head coach as Ghana take on Angola at the Babayara sports stadium on Thursday evening during Match-Day Three of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualification tournament.
The former Brighton and Holve Albion manager places much importance on home support from fans of the national team as he expects to see huge numbers today.
“It’s a very passionate support; it’s a very vocal support and any team that wants to do well, wants a big crowd behind them and this I am quite sure will happen. Whatever the numbers are, I know we have a very vocal crowed but I we also know that as players we have the responsibility to return this.” , Chris Hughton said at the pre-match press conference.
The Ghana gaffer continued :
“And the supporters must enjoy what they see and mostly we can never guarantee but mostly they want to see a team that is giving everything to get the results.” , he added.
I have been to Kumasi three times in the last four days so I know the environment as well as I can do. Of course I was involved with the team when we came here for the Nigeria game and I know the difference it made to the team.”
