Chris Sutton Predicts 5-0 Liverpool Win vs Man United: Former Chelsea and Celtic striker Chris Sutton has predicted a 5-0 annihilation against Manchester United by Liverpool in their Premier League game on Sunday.
The 2024/25 Matchweek 20 fixture, which take place at Anfield, kicks off at 16:30 GMT.
United, who have lost four of their last five matches in all competitions head into the huge clash with very little hope of picking any good results.
Liverpool are romping at the top of the Premier League with 45 points after 18 games played. They are five points clear of second-placed Arsenal who were held 1-1 at Brighton and Holve Albion on Saturday.
Ruben Amorim’s United have slumped to 14th in the Premier League table after losing to Newcastle United, Wolves, and Bournemouth in succession.
Due to this poor form, a number of famous pundits are giving them very little chance of turning their fortunes around against the flying Reds,.
BBC Sport pundit Chris Sutton says he feels sorry for Amorim for the situation he has inherited since his arrival in November.
The former Blackburn and Celtic forward told BBC Sport:
“The historic rivalry between these two clubs is intense but, on the pitch, the contest is not even close at the moment.
“Manchester United boss Amorim is talking about being in a relegation battle and you can see why. His side were torn apart in the first 30 minutes by Newcastle at Old Trafford on Monday, and why would anything be different at Anfield?
“Whoever Liverpool pick, they have got goals in their team and United have no chance of keeping them out.”

“The scoreline won’t hit double figures but anything else is possible, and that is me being nice to United. Liverpool should demolish them, and they will demolish them – it is just a question of how many goals they get.
“United will play for pride, play for the badge and for the jersey, and all of that, but it won’t make any difference.
“Liverpool are in a different stratosphere at the moment and I feel sorry for Amorim because this is going to be another painful afternoon for him.”
Sutton says he forecasts a Liverpool 5-0 Manchester United final scoreline from Sunday’s game.
