Daniel Amartey Scores 11th Career Goal : Ghana international Daniel Amartey came off the bench to score the opening goal of the Europa Conference League match between his team Besiktas and KF Tirana.
Amartey replaced Uysan Necip at the start of the second period and immediately scored to put his team ahead in the 57th minute. Cameroon striker Vincent Aboubakar then made it 2-0 in the 75th as Besiktas advance to the next stage.
The goal was also the 11th career target for the former Leicester City man who is yet to score for the Black Stars of Ghana.
In fact , the last time Amartey was on the score sheet dates back to 4th November 2021 and ironically it was also in an European competition with Leicester drawing against Spartak Moscow (1-1).
The 28-year old scored 1 goal in 41 games for Swedish side Djurgardens IF , 5 goals in 63 games for Copenhagen and 3 goals in 145 matches for Leicester City.
