Dreams FC Defeat Legon Cities to Reach FA Cup Semis : Emmanuel Adade scored an extra time winning goal for Dreams FC as they defeated Legon Cities by 1-0 at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu in a quarter-final match of the MTN FA Cup on Friday April th.
The Premier League sides ended the normal 90 minutes 0-0 as the game was pushed into extra time.
Adade finally broke the deadlock in the 113th minute with a brilliant solo effort as Dreams held on to win by 1-0 to reach the semi-finals of the 2022/23 Cup competition.
Cities full focus now goes into making sure they avoid relegation from the top-flight league this season.
“It was a good game by all standard. We kept pushing and pushing till the end. The boys played their hearts out today and I am proud of them.
We have one thing on our mind to go all out in the league and survive.” , Legon Cities head coach Maxwell Konadu said after the game.
Legon Cities are placed 16th on the Ghana Premier League standings with 28 points in 25 games played but Konadu has consistently assured fans of the club that the team will play in the Premier League next season.
