Scotland and Switzerland played out a 1-1 draw on Wednesday night during Group A Matchday Two of the 2024 European Championship as Xherdan Shaqiri scored a brilliant first-touch goal.
Manchester United midfielder Scot McTominay put Scotland ahead in the 13th minute before the former Liverpool man equalized for Switzerland in the 26th.
With his goal against the Scots, Chicago Fire midfielder Shaqiri is the first player to score in the European Championship while playing for a team in either North or South America.
Shaqiri is also the only player to score in each of the last three Euros and FIFA World Cups.
