The significant surge in individuals picking up forms for the executive council positions at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has set off alarm bells.
As the countdown to the GFA elections intensifies, Ghana FA presidential candidate George Afriyie has pointed to this extraordinary influx as a clear sign that all is not well within the GFA’s ranks.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association has released the list of persons who have submitted their nomination forms for the 2023 Ghana Football Association elections.
According to the FA, the Election Committee will review the received nomination forms before fixing the time and venue for vetting.
“The number of people who are clamoring to become ExCo members is enough justification telling you that everything is not right,” he told Peace FM.
“If the people who want to contest the executive council position think that Mr Okraku has done well then let us withdraw and all of us go and back them plus the executive council.
“If they have done so well then I expect everybody who has picked forms to contest the executive council to withdraw. If they drop I will be the first to drop then everything is fine,” he ended.
