Former Kotoko Coach Hails Nana Yaw Amponsah : Former Asante Kotoko head coach Seydou Zerbo has hailed Nana Yaw Amponsah , the former Chief Executive Officer of the Porcupine Warriors.
“I must say that Nana Yaw Amponsah is a very good person and an excellent CEO. He knows his job well. When he met me to inform me of the decision to sack me , he let me understand it was a decision that he did not want to make but pressure from elsewhere is forcing them to take the decision” , Seydou Zerbo said on Fox FM.
“I remember after our defeat at Hearts of Oak in Accra , some fans came to attack me and it was Nana Yaw that protected me. He trusted me and he knew I could turn things around but what happened had to happen. But he is someone who really understands the business and game of football.” , the Burkina Faso national added.
Zerbo was sacked by Kotoko on March 27th , 2023 following a Ghana Premier League home defeat against Medeama SC at the Babayara sports stadium.
Meanwhile Prosper Narteh Ogium , who led the team to annex the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League title has since returned to the club and will be in charge for the upcoming 2023/24 season.
