Francis Amuzu Wanted by Leeds United and OGC Nice : Voetbal Nieuws claims that Anderlecht are asking for just £4.3million for Leeds United-linked winger Francis Amuzu this summer. The Whites, along with French side OGC Nice, are said to be keen on signing the forward.
The 23-year-old is reportedly set to leave the Belgian club after they failed to qualify for Europe, meaning they have to clear some of their high earners. Premier League new boys Luton Town are also said to be interested in the Belgian youth international, who has scored 19 goals in 160 appearances.
Nice would likely be the frontrunners given their billionaire ownership, however they’ve just splashed the cash on Jeremie Boga from Atalanta in a reported £20million deal.
Leeds United captain Liam Cooper has been linked with a sensational transfer to Saudi Arabian side Al Qadsiah. Ex-Whites goalkeeper Joel Robles has also recently made the move to the Middle East.
Journalist Alex Crook, who works for talkSPORT, claims that Robbie Fowler is interested in signing Leeds United centre-half this summer. The former Liverpool boss is in charge of the Saudi second-tier side that recently signed Wigan Athletic midfielder Max Power.
Former Leeds United assistant manager Karl Robinson recently lift the lid on Cooper’s final day of the season speech, telling those who didn’t want to be at the club to leave, which makes the recent links all the more bizarre.
Francis Apelete Amuzu was born in Ghana, but he represents Belgium internationally even though he is yet to be capped by the senior national team of the European country.
