Full Time – Gold Stars 3 Legon Cities 2 : Abednego Tetteh hits a brace again as five-goal thriller in Bibiani ends in controversy

Gold Stars Defeat Legon Cities by 3-2 : Bibiani Gold Stars defeated Legon Cities by 3-2 in a five goal-thriller during a Week 25 Ghana Premier League match on Monday afternoon in Bibiani as referee Eso Doh Morrison disallowed a Cities third goal that seemed legitimate.

Alex Aso , who came off the bench to score a 70th minute equalizer against Asante Kotoko during Week 24 , easily slotted home in the 72nd minute.

Goalkeeper Joseph Baah and his teammate Yahaya Adraman had collided in the Gold Stars area and Aso reacted quickest to put the ball at the back of the net.

But Esoh Doh Morrison disallowed the goal and awarded a free-kick to the home team instead , a decision that prompted the Cities players to protest by walking off the pitch for eight minutes.

After series of talks with head coach Maxwell Konadu the Cities players calmed down and returned to the pitch for the game to continue from the 80th minute.

Abednego Tetteh netted in the 1st minute to put the home side ahead. Armegah equalized for Cities in the 9th before Eric Osei Bonsu scored to make it 2-1 for the away side with a bullet strike.

In the 24th minute Charles Gaymfi Camara made it 2-2 before former Hearts of Oak attacker Tetteh netted again in the 39th as Gold Stars held on to win 3-2.

After the normal 90 minutes , the referee played 8 minutes as additional time but no more goals were scored.
