Gold Stars Held at Home by Hearts of Oak : Bibiani Gold Stars were held to a 1-1 drawn game at the Dun’s Park by Accra Hearts of Oak during a Match-Day 21 Ghana Premier League match on Saturday.
Former Asante Kotoko left back Evans Owusu scored first for the home team in the 3rd minute. Owusu’s unintended effort ended at the back of the net as goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi was completely beaten.
The Phobians , fresh from the Super Clash victory over Asante Kotoko , failed to equalize in the first half but substitute Isaac Mensah provided David Ocloo and his charges a vital point with his injury time equalizer.
The home team would feel disappointed after failing to score more goals in front of their fans.
Hearts of Oak are now 4th on the league standings with 32 points in 21 matches whilst Gold Stars are placed two places below with 31 points after 21 games played.
