Haaland Will Continue at Manchester City Says Agent : Erling Haaland will not leave the Mancunian club this summer after helping them to win the historic treble of the Premier League , FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League in the just ended 2022/23 season.
His agent Rafaela Pimenta has assured all City fans.
Erling Haaland could hardly have dreamed of a better first season in England. Transferred last summer to Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund, the Norwegian cyborg crushed the competition in his first months in the Premier League, already breaking impressive records.
A real scoring machine, the 22-year-old finished top scorer in the English championship (36 goals) and the Champions League (12 targets).
Stratospheric individual performances accompanied by collective success, with the Champions League-Premier League-FA Cup treble. A first in England since 1999 and rival United.
After such a first season, could the striker leave the Skyblues during the summer transfer window? Especially for Real, lacking a 9 after the departure of Karim Benzema?
His agent Rafaela Pimenta gave a clear answer on his future.
“Haaland contributed to City’s treble. Everything else, including the Ballon d’Or, is just a bonus. Erling will stay in Manchester,” she told Sky Italia on the sidelines of the presentation ceremony of the Golden Boy.
Under contract until 2027 with the Citizens, the former Dortmund striker should therefore continue to terrorize the opposing defenders in England.
In order to improve already impressive statistics, Haaland even allowed himself to seek advice from Thierry Henry after the victory of the Champions League final.
“There’s nothing you can learn from books, what you do is unmatched, replied the former Arsenal legend. But as for my advice: go more to the right and sometimes make races in areas where you don’t like to go.
There are things you can still learn but you will score a quadruple every time if you do that.” Advice that the cyborg should not delay applying after a well-deserved vacation.
