Ghana defender, Mohammed Salisu has revealed his favourite playing position following his move to AS Monaco.
The 23-year-old joined the French Ligue 1 side from Southampton following their relegation to the English Championship.
However, his debut was delayed as he works his way towards regaining fitness and becoming match ready for his new club. Prior to the game against Clermont Foot, a game they won 4-2, Salisu was presented to the media where he talked about his recovery and favourite position.
“We have a really good young squad. I have to focus on the journey but I am working very hard in the gym and in training to be ready and to be back,” he said during the presentation,” he said.
“I often play on the left side and I am comfortable in the middle as well. I don’t mind playing both,” he added.
Salisu’s last competitive appearance was in March for the Saints was subsequently dropped towards the end of last season owing to worries about his commitment.
