Ibrahim Tanko Reacts To Ghana’s 3-2 Win Over Congo : Head coach of the Ghana U23 men’s national football team , Ibrahim Tanko , has not hidden his unhappiness about the two injury time goals conceded by the Black Meteors during their 3-2 win over Congo on Sunday evening.
The Ghana Olympic team opened their 2023 CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations tournament account with a nervy victory against the Congolese in Rabat at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium.
“I think I am happy about we have the three points but at the same time I am angry about my players.” , he said after the game.
“To concede two goals after 90 minutes is unacceptable. I mean we have to do the changes , our center backs is feeling tired and Ernest Nuamah is also tired. We have only two days to play the next game and so I think the three points are important but the two goals we conceded is unacceptable.
It is unacceptable because the body language of some of the players when they came in I am not happy about that and I will have to address that and hope that the next game will be better.”
“We are going to watch the game again and see what we did well and what we did not do well and then prepare for the next game” , the former Dortmund striker added.
Ghana play against host nation Morocco on Tuesday at the same venue for their second group match.
