Ibrahim Tanko Speaks About Morocco Clash on Tuesday : Ghana U23 national men’s football team head coach Ibrahim Tanko has spoken of his side’s determination to beat Morocco and advance to the next stage of the ongoing CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Meteors will take on the tournament hosts in their second group game on Tuesday, June 27 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.
Both sides won their opening games of the competition and a win for either side could see them through to the quarterfinals.
And Coach Tanko believes his side will be ready for the clash though they have a day to prepare for the match.
“We have only today (Monday) to prepare but we will do our best to have a good session today”,
“Both teams won our first matches and so I expect a good match tomorrow. But we want to win”, Coach Tanko said at the pre- match press conference.
Coach Ibrahim also stated that the team has put the game against Congo behind them and are fully focused on Tuesday’s crunch game against the home team.
“After a game like that it’s normal to voice out your feelings to the boys but it’s behind us now and we are ready for the game tomorrow”.
“The Moroccans have their strategy for the game and we equally have ours. We will train today and we know it will be a good game”.
“What is key is to make very less mistakes. We had a good game until after the 90 mins. I will encourage my players to avoid mistakes”, he added.
Tuesday’s game will kick off at 9pm local time(8pm GMT).
Meanwhile Gabonese Referee Tanguy Patrice Mebiame will take charge of the match.
He will be assisted by Joel Wonka Wonka Doe from Liberia and Dimbiniaina Andriatianrivelo from Madagascar.
Fourth Official for the match is Adalbert Diouf from Senegal and Issaka Adamou from Niger as Match Commissioner.
