“Kotoko can’t be Kotoko again until it is financed by the owner” – Kamkam Boadu boldly tells Manhyia Palace !

Kamkam Boadu Message to Manhyia Palace over Kotoko Issues : Experienced Ghanaian sports journalist Bright Kamkam Boadu believes Asante Kotoko would continue to struggle to get to the top of African football again if the owner does not inject enough cash into the club.

Kotoko , winners of two CAF Champions League titles in 1971 and 1983 , are currently a spent force in terms of African club competitions.

The owner of the great Ghanaian football club is the Asantehene at any point in time and Otumfour Osei Tutu II is the current life patron and owner of the Porcupine Warriors.

It is the Asantehene that appoints the board of directors who in turn form a management team to manage the club’s affairs.

The current  board of directors of the club was constituted by the great king on May 28th , 2020 as Dr. Kwame Kyei was named board chairman.

A number of successful and accomplished business persons were also named but according to the Pure FM sports host , the current way of doing things will take the club nowhere,.

“There is a fundamental problem at Kotoko which everybody is failing to say and it is not wrong to say. Kotoko can’t be Kotoko again until it is financed by the owner,” Kamkam Boadu said when he appeared on Time FM Morning Show.
