Karim Zito Reacts to Accra Lions Defeat : Head coach of Dreams FC Abdul Karim Zito has reacted to his team’s 3-2 loss against Accra Lions on Monday night at the Accra sports stadium.
Lions clinched a 3-2 victory thanks to a goal from Player of the month for February winner Abass Samari and a brace by 16-year old teenage sensation Dominic Amponsah.
On the performance of his team :
“Well I think it’s just unfortunate , we gave our all. I think you were witness to some matches we played and when you watch my boys today something went wrong and we could not achieve our objectives so we continue working hard in our next game and see what we can do.
On the howler of goalkeeper Augustine Koomson :
“Yes you saw what happened with the goalkeeper (Augustine Koomson) , a little bit of misjudgment. Football is about judgement and decisions and the judgement he took was very wrong and that is the punishment he had.
I told you in the beginning that we were going to win and you can see they had the first goal and we went in , they has the second and we went in , we were preparing for the third one and then this thing happened.
It happens all the time. I would not say the goalkeeper. Well he didn’t have his good game today.
On the attitude of his players :
But I am very happy with one thing there is change in our boys, the attitude has changed , they played seriously the way I told them to play. This is football. You can play a good game on the field but you will still lose , you can play bad and you can win. So for me I will pacify myself with the way we played. I like it. They responsibility I gave them they executed it alright but it was only unfortunate that the only shots in our net was a goal.
