Kofi Manu Warns Kurt Okraku : Kofi Manu says current Ghana Football Association President , Kurt E.S Okraku , may not be illegible to contest the next GFA Presidential elections , after series of allegations were made against the GFA boss in a petition reported to have been sent to twenty-four institutions including FIFA.
“Look at how he is ruining Ghana football. Look at what happened at the Congress in Kumasi. Let me assure you that if Kurt is doing all these things because of he wants to seek re-election then let him know that he might not be part of of the candidates for the next GFA presidential elections.” , Kofi Manu said on Kumasi-based Fox FM.
“We have laws in Ghana. I have seen the petition against the GFA president and I can tell you that something massive is going to happen. He does not have a consistent name , his sister is the at Prampram , Dreams FC general manager is made Team Manager of the Black Stars and the FIFA Code of Ethics is clear , that do not appoint your relatives. These are ethical breaches and you think he will survive?. His days are clearly numbered” , the veteran football administrator stated.
Meanwhile Kurt Okraku indirectly responded to the allegations in his speech to Congress members on Monday.
“The solution to our football problems is not to defame people. The The solution to our football problems is to show respect to club owners like your good selves. The The solution to our football problems is not forge documents to mislead the public.
The The solution to our football problems is not to over to my brothers here from members of parliament with lies” , he said.
He continued :
“The solution to our football problems is not about NDC and NPP because football goes beyond political affiliations. If you are interested in leading football , speak football because our people here know what is football.”
“Our club owners and CEOs here know what football is about. And I know you know what your needs are , you deserve respect , you do not deserve lies , you do not deserve false propaganda. My brothers from parliament deserve the truth. If you go them (MPs) and say Kurt is NPP , Kurt is NDC , that is not the truth , that is not what they want to hear , they want to hear the problems of football , how the football can be made better and how we can collectively earn from our investments”
