Kotoko Coach Feels Cheated : Hearts of Oak defeated Asante Kotoko by 1-0 on Sunday evening during Match-day 20 of the betPawa Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Defender Konadu Yiadom scored the only goal of the match which also doubled as the 2023 GHALCA President’s Cup.
The former WAFA center-back jumped highest to connect home Linda Mtange’s freekick in the 56th minute as goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad and his defence were beaten.
However according TO Orlando Wellington the assistant coach of the Porcupine Warriors , the Hearts of Oak goal should have been disallowed due to an off-side offence.
“Hearts of Oak’s goal against us was an offside. They scored an offside goal and the referee denied us a clear penalty,” Wellington after the match as quoted by 3news.com.
