“PSG existed before Mbappe and it will still exist after him” – Former PSG official urges club to move on without Kylian Mbappe !

Leonardo Urges PSG to Get Rid of Kylian Mbappe : In an interview with the Team, Leonardo , former PSG Sporting director knocks out Kylian Mbappé in his conflict with PSG. The former sports director of the club calls for his departure, “no matter how” and does not make him an absolutely essential element for the future of the Parisian club.

Uncompromising. If he is no longer sports director of PSG – position occupied by Luis Campos now, even if he is officially “adviser to the president” – Leonardo has lost none of his outspokenness of yesteryear.

Asked this Sunday by the Team on RMC , the former PSG leader delivers from Milan his analysis on the conflict which opposes Kylian Mbappé to the Parisian club, since the player made it known that he would not extend beyond 2024.

“For the good of PSG, I think the time has come for Mbappé to leave, no matter how. Paris-Saint-Germain existed before Kylian Mbappé and it will exist after him”, notes Leonardo, who also recalls that since the arrival of the former Monegasque in Paris, five clubs have won the last six Champions Leagues … without him.

“With his behavior, Mbappé shows that he is not yet capable of really guiding a team”

“With his behavior over the past two years, Mbappé demonstrates that he is not yet a player capable of really guiding a team. He is a great player, not a leader. He is a great scorer, not a creative person. It’s difficult to build a team around him”, specifies Leonardo.

Way to refer to the demands of the Mbappé clan at the time of its extension in 2021. The player hoped to have influence for the recruitment and the constitution of the team. Leonardo is rather well placed to talk about the subject, as it is he who notably negotiated the new deal of the world champion.
