Leroy Sane Accused of Racially Insulting Sadio Mane : Sadio Mane’s entourage has claimed that Leroy Sane uttered racists insults towards the Senegal international before the altercation between the two men following Bayern Munich’s 3-0 defeat against Manchester City in a Champions League quarter-final first leg match on Tuesday.
The incident took place when Sane complained after Mane decided against running into space in one of Bayern Munich’s attacks in their 3-0 loss to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
According to journalist Pape Mahmoud Gueye, who is also Mane’s cousin, the German winger racially abused Mane during their altercation on the pitch.
According to Pape Mahmoud Gueye, the German footballer would have called Sadio Mane “black shit” during the dialectical discussion of both, being the trigger for the subsequent action, for which Mané has apologized to the locker room.
Mane reacted after the game in the dressing room, where he punched Sane in the face before apologizing to his teammates for his actions.
The former Liverpool forward has been suspended for Bayern Munich’s match against Hoffenheim, with the club also handing him a fine.
Sky Sports also claimed that Mane could terminate his contract by mutual consent, but this seems unlikely for the time being.
Meanwhile, Gueye added that Sane did apologize to his teammate for his insult.
