Locker Room Bonus : Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association , Henry Asante Twum, has revealed that all Ghana Premier League clubs have subscribed to the Locker Room Bonus initiative of the association except one club ; Asante Kotoko SC.
“Players of clubs have been receiving the locker room bonuses after every match day with the exception of Kotoko who didn’t subscribe.” , Henry Asante said on Kessben FM on Wednesday.
“They told betPawa that the money should be put together and be given to them at once. They said they won’t give the Momo numbers of their players to betPawa. They stressed that they don’t want BetPawa to deal with their players directly.” he stated further.
The locker room bonus was introduced this season as part of the sponsorship support from betPawa as the main sponsor of the Ghana Premier league.
Players receive an amount of Ghc 150 for winning matches this season from the headline sponsors right after every league match via mobile money transfer but as revealed by the GFA spokesman , Kotoko CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah and his management team are not interested in the mode of payment as they prefer bulk transfer to their players.
