Madagascar Defeat Ghana

Madagascar Defeat Ghana : Madagascar defeated the Black Galaxies by 2-1 on Sunday night during the opening match of the Group C of the 2022 African Nations Championship (CHAN) as Asante Kotoko Augustine Agyapong scored a stunner. 

Razafidranaivo Koloina put Madagascar ahead in the 10th minute. In the second half Tsiry Randriantsiferana made it 2-0 in the 62nd minute following a blunder by Ghana right back Augustine Randolf.

Ghana coach Annor Walker immediately responded by replacing Randolf with Augustine Agyapong and the impact was instant as the Kotoko right back scored a brilliant goal to make it 2-1 in the 68th minute.

Ghana threatened a comeback with a series of dangerous attacking moves by Madagascar held on to record one of the biggest results at the competition.

Injured skipper Awako left the game at the 52nd minute as he was replaced by Suraj Seidu.

Meanwhile the Morocco – Sudan match was cancelled as the Atlas Lions failed to travel to Algeria contest the 7th edition of the CHAN.
