Mahrez Linked to Saudi Side Al Ahli : Saudi Arabia football clubs continue to be active in the current transfer market and the latest European soccer star to be linked to a club in the gulf is Algeria international Riyad Mahrez of Manchester City.
“Saudi side Al-Ahli interest in Riyad Mahrez, confirmed and concrete as they want to sign Algerian star – but Manchester City have not been approached yet at this stage.
Man City would require a consistent fee for Mahrez, no chance to let him leave for free.” , journalist Fabrizio Romano said on Twitter.
The former Leicester City playmaker was an unused substitute for City during last Saturday’s FA Cup final as the Cityzens won by 2-1 to keep their treble hopes alive as they play against Inter Milan on 10th June in the 2023 UEFA Champions League final in Istanbul.
Mahrez joined Manchester City in the 2018/19 season for Leicester and has won nine trophies with the Manchester side.
The North African is also the first and only African player to win five Premier League titles.
