Nana Yaw Amponsah Allegedly Arrested in Accra: Former Asante Kotoko chief executive officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah, has reportedly been arrested in Accra on Sunday and this is according to Kessben TV.
The Kumasi-based media organization broke the news on social media.
”Former Asante Kotoko CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah was allegedly arrested this afternoon at Kotoka International Airport for fraud. The former Petrocub president is currently in police custody in Accra. Further details will follow later…#KessbenTV”
Nana Yaw, who unsuccessfully ran for the GFA Presidential position in October 2019, worked for the Porcupine Warriors from August 2020 to July 2023. The Red won the 2021-22 GPL during his 3-year spell in Kumasi.
In a second update from Kessben TV, the media firm reported that the former Petrocub President has been granted bail and is required to report to the CID headquarters on Monday, Jan. 13 at 8:30 am.
