Footballer Neymar is a star on the pitch, but not only. He is also a great poker player. He recently lost €1 million in a tournament broadcast on his Twitch channel. His games earned him close monitoring by the French authorities, but why?
According to RMC Sport, PSG striker Neymar is targeted by the National Gaming Authority (ANJ). The reason ? He promoted his poker games through his channel, which is strictly forbidden in France.
Why is he accused exactly?
Currently injured, the Brazilian striker therefore takes the opportunity to entertain himself and exercise his second passion, poker. Except that he broadcast a part in partnership with Blaze, an operator not approved in France.
The latter are prohibited in France, and it is even less authorized to promote them.
Still according to RMC Sport, the ANJ would seek to prove that Neymar was indeed present on French territory at the time of the live. If this is not the case, it would be difficult to sanction the number 10 of the Seleção.
