Odotei Sowah on Why Hearts Nearly Got Relegated in 2022/23 : Hearts of Oak board member Vincent Odotei Sowah says the club has identified the reasons why Hearts of Oak were nearly relegated from the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League.
The second most successful team of the Ghana Premier League failed to win any of their last five matches of the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League ; four losses and one draw.
That draw came against Berekum Chelsea on 11th June 2023. The team of David Ocloo could have seen the drop from the elite league if they had lost that last match of the season.
The Phobians finished 12th on the final league standings of last season with 46 points collected from 34 matches. The team won 12 games , drew 10 and lost 12.
“If things are not going on well we should look at the exact reasons why we were nearly relegated last season. We have found out what the reason is. Very soon we will tell you what the reason is.” , Odotei Sowah said on Oyerepa FM on Wednesday.
“They destroy the club , they sabotage Accra Hearts of Oak and then they turn back and tell us we don’t know what we are doing. At the start of the season everybody said we had the best team. Because five of the starting players of the Black Galaxies were from Hearts of Oak. Not just that we had players in the Ghana U20 team and U23 and everything.
We all know what went on this season and we will come out and tell you what happened. The politics in Hearts of Oak , people just want to sabotage the club for their personal egos.” , Odotei Sowah concluded.
