Olympics Women’s Football Tournament Qualification Format Explained : The 2024 CAF Women’s Olympic qualifying tournament officially, the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Qualifiers is the sixth edition of the CAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament, the quadrennial international football competition organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to determine which women’s national teams from Africa qualify for the Olympic football tournament.
The Black Queens have never qualified for the Olympics Games as Nora Hauptle and her current group of players seek to become the first Black Queens badge to make it to the tournament which will take place in Paris in 2024.

Note that on 24 February 2022, FIFA awarded CAF two slots for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in France.
The CAF Qualification Format Explained :
Fifty-three CAF members were eligible to enter qualifying, with Zimbabwe having been suspended since 24 February 2022, though only 25 submitted entries.
The draw took place on 30 May 2023 in Cairo, Egypt. Seven teams were awarded a bye to the second round of qualifying based upon their results in the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
There are four rounds of the qualification series ; the First Round , The Second Round , The Third Round and the Fourth Round.
The Ghana national women’s team enters at the First Round and will take on Guinea in two legs. In this round , there are 9 ties. The 9 winners advance to the the next round.
The Second Round will have 8 ties with the 8 winners moving on to the next stage of the qualification.
The Third Round will have 4 ties and the 4 winners go to the fourth and final round where the two winners will qualify to play at the 2024 Summer Olympics football tournament in Paris.
Meanwhile the Black Meteors failed to qualify after their group stage elimination at the 2023 CAF U23 Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco.
The North Africa duo of Morocco and Egypt are joined by Mali as the three African teams that have qualified for the men’s football tournament at next year’s Olympics Games whilst Guinea will play in the CAF – AFC Play-off.
