Pogba and Depay Offer Comforting Messages to Benjamin Mendy : Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba posted a message addressed to Benjamin Mendy on Friday on Instagram, after the former AS Monaco defender was completely acquitted of all the rape and sexual assault charges against him by the Chester court.
“I look forward to your return to the field,” wrote the Juve midfielder of the man who was found not guilty of ten rape and sexual assault charges.
The verdict is in and reactions continue to come in for the Manchester City player.
“I’m so happy for you, my brother, writes Paul Pogba on Instagram. All those people who spoke badly of you, now I want to see them clear your name. I look forward to your return to the field”, writes Paul Pogba about Benjamin Mendy. The visual suggests that the two men spoke to each other in video.
Memphis Depay , in Ghana to have his holidays , expressed himself on Twitter and seems to want to make an example of the Mendy case:
“Benjamin Mendy. All cases dismissed. And what do we do now? Who will help our brother to heal? Who will bear the responsibility for the damage done on his name? How will he recover his career? Years of investment to become a professional football player and now what?!”

“I never broached this subject because I didn’t have all the details but I spoke to him once facetime when he was behind bars, I faced him a few times on the pitch.
I didn’t see anything evil in this man. We can’t accept such things happening to us, as athletes. Who will stand up for us, when we need it and not just when the damage is already done? Don’t turn your back on people.” , Depay said.
