2023/24 Ghana Premier League Week 3 : Bofoakwa Tano vs Hearts of Oak Preview

Returnees Bofoakwa Tano will square off with Bibiani Gold Stars at the Coronation Park in Sunyani on Saturday with Bofoakwa still unbeaten in four Premier League games.

The Sunyani lads are currently top of the league log with 8 points going into the match at the Coronation Park – where they have won all their games.

Bofoakwa Tano started the season with a goalless draw against Great Olympics in Accra and went on to beat Real Tamale United 2-1, drew 0-0 with Heart of Lions and beat Accra Hearts of Oak 1-0 at home. They have been absolutely brilliant in their first four games scoring three and conceding only once.

Saaka Dauda has scored in Bofoakwa Tano’s two home games with two NASCO man of the match awards and has been nominated alongside, Elijah Addai for the September player of the month while coach Frimpong Manso has also been nominated for the coach of the month accolade after winning two and drawing one in the month of September. Ernest Mwankurinah, Ali Alhassan, Najib Fuseini, Emmanuel Ankrah and Clement Ansah are all available to start for Bofoakwa Tano as they aim to continue their good start to the season with an unbeaten home record.

Bibiani Gold Stars have lost all their away games this season – a 2-0 defeat to Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park and a 1-0 loss to Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium and would have to play above themselves to silence Bofoakwa Tano at the Coronation Park.

Ronald Frimpong scored a brace in Gold Stars last game against Real Tamale United and will be available for selection with Prince Kwabena Owusu, Emmanuel Odai, Yahaya Adraman, Stephen Owusu Banahene, Charles Gyamfi Kamara, Samuel Amofa and Alex Aso also available for Coach Micheal Osei.

The game will be broadcast live on StarTimes Adepa channel 247 at 3pm.
