Asante Kotoko head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum has implored fans of the club not to excessively promote new signing Bernard Somuah after the latter completed his move to The Porcupine Warriors on Wednesday.
“I will plead with the fans to have patience for him and not to overhype him, but to support him and see what the future holds for us.” , Ogum said.
The 17-year-old has already had training sessions with the club and has featured in three of the Club’s four pre-season friendlies as he officially becomes a Porcupine after passing his medical on Tuesday.
Somuah scored 22 goals last season for his former club in the lower-tier league and has become an instant fans favourite in the three games he has featured for Kotoko.
He hit a brace in the 5-1 pre-season win over Cornerstone last Sunday.
