2023 AFCON : So far here are all the 10 qualified national teams for the Ivory Coast tournament

2023 AFCON : So far here are all the 10 qualified national teams for the Ivory Coast tournament

Qualified Teams for 2023 AFCON as of June 18th , 2023 : Ten national teams have confirmed their qualification to the next edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) as of 18th June , 2023. 

Twenty-four teams will take part in the tournament finals.

The following ten (10) teams have qualified for the final tournament to be hosted in Ivory Coast from January to February 2024.

1.Ivory Coast as Host Nation – This will be their 25th appearance at the AFCON. They have already played at 24 editions of the AFCON (1965, 1968, 1970, 1974, 1980, 1984, 1986, 1988, 1990, 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021)

2.Morocco as Qualified from Group K– This will be their 19th appearance at the AFCON. They have already played at 18 editions of the AFCON (1972, 1976, 1978, 1980, 1986, 1988, 1992, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2013, 2017, 2019, 2021)

3.Algeria Qualified from Group F – This will be their 20th appearance at the AFCON. They have already played at 19 editions of the AFCON (1968, 1980, 1982, 1984, 1986, 1988, 1990, 1992, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2010, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021

4.South Africa Qualified from Group K – This will be their 11th appearance at the AFCON. They have already played at 10 editions of the AFCON (1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2013, 2015, 2019)

5.Senegal qualified from Group L – This will be their 17th appearance at the AFCON. They have already played at 16 editions of the AFCON (1965, 1968, 1986, 1990, 1992, 1994, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021)

6.Burkina Faso qualified from Group B – This will be their 13th appearance at the AFCON. They have already played at 12 editions of the AFCON (1978, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2021)

7.Tunisia qualified from Group J – This will be their 21st appearance at the AFCON. They have already played at 20 editions of the AFCON (1962, 1963, 1965, 1978, 1982, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021).

8.Egypt qualified from Group D – This will be their 26th appearance at the AFCON. They have already played at 25 editions of the AFCON (1957, 1959, 1962, 1963, 1970, 1974, 1976, 1980, 1984, 1986, 1988, 1990, 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2017, 2019, 2021).

9.Zambia qualified from Group H – This will be their 18th appearance at the AFCON. They have already played at17 editions of the AFCON (1974, 1978, 1982, 1986, 1990, 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015).

10.Equatorial Guinea qualified from Group J – This will be their 4th appearance at the AFCON. They have already played at 3 editions of the AFCON (2012, 2015, 2021).
