Dreams FC contingent has arrived in the Malian city of Bamako on Friday night ahead of the Stade Malien vs Dreams FC CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final first-leg clash.
The encounter will take place on Sunday, 31st March, at the Stade du 26 Mars as the two teams battle for a qualification ticket to the next round of the second most prestigious African club football competition.
The match kicks off 17: 00 GMT.
The Ghanaian side are a surprise package after topping their group with 12 points in six games played to reach the Confederation Cup’s knockout stage in their maiden participation.
Abdul Karim Zito’s men won 4 and lost 2 in their 6 group stages fixtures, including a huge 3-2 away win against Angola’s Académica do Lobito.
Stade Malien, meanwhile, reached this round after finishing second in Group D with 10 points taken from their six matches as Morocco’s RS Berkane won the group with two points more.
The Malian side appear favourites given they are one of the past winners of the CAF Confederation Cup which they did in 2009.
However, the Still Believe lads, holders of the Ghana FA Cup, have proven that they can achieve bigger things in their first-ever season in Africa, which makes the Stade Malien vs Dreams FC CAF Confederation Cup match an interesting game to keep an eye on.
